Monorail Upgrade

The purpose of this equipment is to transport wheels through a finishing process. The system consists of Jervis Webb© Overhead Conveyor System. The system utilizes (4) drives to power the chain. The drives are configured in a Master/Follower with Speed/Torque Regulation, and encoder tracking. A control panel was assembled utilizing an AB CompactLogix PLC, Red Lion G3 HMI, and ABB ACS 800 Drives. The drive communicated to each other using Fiber Optic Communication with drive PLC control over Ethernet IP.
